Vancouver Kiteboarding Blog
The flight and hotel is booked! I’m going to Cabarete in the Dominican Republic from December 9th to January 4th. Yep, that’s 25 days and I’m staying at the Extreme Hotel.
Trip was CANCELLED due to complexities.
Kiteboarding is becoming a popular sport worldwide and is gaining popularity and recognition in Vancouver Canada. 'Kite Bytes' is a blog for a couple of Vancouver guys who are learning the sport of kiteboarding.

the extreme hotel kicks ass….
hostel vibe with a decent room and killer food at the bar.
bring your big kite… wind is around 15 to 19 knots but steady as a rock. so much to do. ??I miss it there so much!

You will have a great time; Cabarete is a hoot. I stayed at some Swedes place a few paces from the beach. He had a great rigging lawn and was paces from the water just a few minutes stroll from the bars. The schnitzel place across the street from the beach is very good.
If you want a bit of a break from the Cabarete scene, head out to Las Galeras on the Samana Pennisula. Santo Domingo is always good if you are up for an urban adventure.
